  • Realme Race will be the company's 2021 flagship phone.
  • Race will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset.
  • Realme has confirmed the phone will arrive after the Chinese new year.

Realme Race flagship phone may be launched in India soon. The smartphone has received the certification on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, meaning it is now ready for launch in the Indian market. However, there is nothing official about it and even the company has not said anything about the launch of Realme Race in India. Realme Race was confirmed to be in development in December last year among other flagships and is expected soon.

The Realme model number RMX2202 has appeared on the BIS website with proper certifications, according to a tipster named Ankit. This model was previously spotted on the TENAA certification in China. Logically, the Realme Race will debut in China and then it will be launched in India. But the timeframes are not clear yet for either. A Realme official recently said the Race flagship will arrive sometime after the Chinese new year, which falls on February 12. This means the India launch may take place towards the end of February or even early March.

Apart from this chunk of information, the details on the launch of the Realme Race are scarce. But rest assured, the specifications of the Realme Race are out in the rumour mill. Although perhaps the biggest takeaway for this phone was confirmed by Realme last year that this smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, bringing flagship-level capabilities to the phone. Coming to rumours, there will be 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Realme Race will have a 64MP camera on the back, Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0. There could also be 125W fast charging technology on this phone.

Rumours are also rife that there will be a Realme Race Pro smartphone that will be an advanced version of Race. Although the specifications of the Realme Race Pro are not clear right now.

Realme has not named this smartphone yet: Race is just the codename for the phone, according to the company. Realme is said to call it the X60 Pro, following last year's naming of X50 Pro. The Realme X50 Pro was the first 5G smartphone of India, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. Rest of the specifications of the X50 Pro include:

Display: The Realme X50 Pro 5G has a 6.44-inch FHD+ Samsung Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It also has a punch-hole design on the top left corner.

Storage: There are three RAM options on the Realme X50 Pro 5G - 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB. For storage, you can choose between the 128GB and 256GB memory variants.
