Furthermore, Viacom 18 has acquired the rights to live stream the matches in India for this season by paying INR 20,500 crore to the BCCI. So, cricket lovers can watch the matches live online or through TV broadcasts. For IPL 2023, Viacom 18 has acquired digital rights while Disney Star has retained TV rights. Broadcasting is available in 12 different languages on the Star Sports Network.
Jio Cinema has announced that IPL 2023 will be live-streamed for free, changing the game for IPL live-streaming. Jio Cinema will live stream all 410 matches for free in 4K resolution and with multiple camera angles. Users can also access features such as score and pitch heat map.
Additionally, the matches will be live in 12 languages including English, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, and Bhojpuri across all telecom operators without needing an OTT subscription. Jio Cinema also offers a multicam feature for free this season.
Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has launched 3 new prepaid plans priced at Rs 219, Rs 399, and Rs 999. These plans offer up to 40GB of data with a 3GB daily data cap, unlimited calling, SMS, and 5G benefits.
All these plans comes under Jio 5G welcome offer. So eligible users can enjoy the internet data on high speed 5G network for free of cost.
Additionally, Jio has also introduced new data add-on packs priced at Rs 222, Rs 444, and Rs 667, so that viewers are not out of data while streaming the matches online.
