Realme may soon increase the price of the C21Y smartphone in India. The price hike in smartphones has become common ever since the shortage of components began to affect the smartphone industry seriously. And often the burden of this crisis is offloaded to entry-level and budget smartphones, the C21Y being the latest one. That means if you are thinking of buying this phone, now would be the best time to go for it before the price goes up.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, the price of the Realme C21Y may see a hike of Rs 1,000 across variants, and that would make the phone a little less appealing to customers. Realme recently increased the price of Realme C11 2021 and now another C-series phone is up for a big change in its value. The Realme C21Y was launched in India earlier this year with modest specifications, but the new price may bring it closer to the budget segment, where you can get better phones, such as the Motorola Moto G30.

The C21Y costs Rs 8,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant, while its 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model sells for Rs 9,999. Now, if we believe the report, the price will be revised to Rs 9,999 and Rs 10,999, respectively, after a Rs 1,000 hike. The price may become effective from next week, which is why the company website showed the original prices at the time of writing. The colour variants of the Realme C21Y may remain the same.
