WhatsApp now allow users to create and share AI stickers, here is how

Meta recently announced several new AI experiences and features for WhatsApp, with the aim of enhancing user online connections and providing them with tools for greater creativity, expression, and productivity. One of the AI-backed features enables users to create customised AI stickers.

Meta stated that the AI sticker feature would empower WhatsApp users to enhance their chat experience on the app. According to Meta's official blog post, "Using technology from Llama 2 and our foundational model for image generation called Emu, our AI tool transforms your text prompts into multiple unique, high-quality stickers within seconds.

Well, until now, the feature had been in beta testing, but on Wednesday, Meta officially unveiled the availability of AI stickers for WhatsApp. These AI stickers are created using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which generates stickers based on the users' prompts. Once sent, these AI stickers will automatically appear in the sticker tray and can be shared with contacts at any time.

How to create AI strikers on WhatsApp

To create an AI sticker:

• Open a chat on WhatsApp.
• Tap the "More" icon (represented by >).
• Select "Create." If prompted, tap "Continue."
• Enter a description for the sticker you want to create.
• Up to four stickers will be generated.
• You can edit your description and try again if needed.
• Tap a sticker to send it.

You can also add the stickers to your favorite for later use:

• Open the chat containing the AI sticker you want to favorite.
• Tap the sticker within your chat or press and hold the sticker in the sticker tray.
• Choose "Add to favorites."

Notably, WhatsApp AI stickers only support the English language for now. So to create AI stickers, users must provide descriptions in English. Additionally, this feature is currently accessible in select countries, so it's advisable to check if it's available in your region.

Meanwhile, to keep users protected, WhatsApp assures that users can report any AI sticker which he or she feels inappropriate. "If you believe a sticker is incorrect, you can report it. We may ban a user if we believe that user is violating our Terms of Service, including by sharing inappropriate AI-generated content."

To report an AI sticker that has been automatically generated in response to a text prompt and may not be accurate or suitable, a user can take the following steps.

To report a sticker received:

• Press and hold the sticker that you wish to report.
• Tap the "More" icon (>) followed by "Report" and then "Report."
