At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Siddharth Zarabi, Editor of Business Today, speaks to a dynamic panel of top Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) leaders – R Dinesh (Chairman, TVS Supply Chain Solutions), Shobana Kamineni (Executive Chairperson, Apollo Health), and Chandrajit Banerjee (Director General, CII). This panel discussion offers key insights into India’s growing role in shaping the global economic agenda. As global leaders discuss “Collaboration in the Intelligent Age,” the panel sheds light on Indian industry’s expectations from the WEF, strategies to navigate global market challenges, and the presence of leading Indian industrialists at Davos. Drawing from the recent PwC’s Global CEO Survey, the discussion highlights that 87% of Indian CEOs are optimistic about the country’s economic growth—well above the global average of 57%—and 74% are confident about revenue growth in the next three years. Despite the confidence, challenges remain. Technological disruptions, macroeconomic volatility, and inflation weigh on Indian CEOs’ minds. Yet, 51% view Generative AI as a profitability driver, showcasing the industry’s readiness for innovation. Climate change is another critical focus area, with Indian leaders making strides in climate-friendly investments, echoing global efforts for sustainable growth.
