Reliance Industries continues to face stock market pressure despite its aggressive expansion into clean energy and renewable businesses. Market experts believe the company's heavy capital expenditure and rising debt have weighed on investor sentiment, resulting in double-digit losses this year. Kshitiz Mahajan, Managing Partner & CEO of Complete Circle, highlighted that markets often take time to reward companies investing heavily in future growth opportunities. While Reliance's clean energy ambitions have increased leverage in the short term, successful execution could drive a significant turnaround. Mahajan noted that global markets typically reward innovation and futuristic business models earlier than Indian markets. If Reliance delivers on its renewable energy vision and gradually reduces debt, investors could see substantial value creation over the long term.
