Seven days of IndiGo chaos and the airline still has not been able to fix its issues. India’s biggest airline cancelled more than 450 flights on Monday, December 8 – resulting in the issue reverberating in Parliament. Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu had to reply to questions on the issue in Rajya Sabha and promised exemplary action against all those responsible for the mess. He said an inquiry was already underway and that IndiGo had not flagged any issues in a stakeholder meeting on new Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) rules which kicked in on November 1. He also said that all airlines were on board with the new rules when they were implemented by the DGCA.
