Nara Lokesh Unveils 1 GW Data Center, Cluster Growth Strategy At UK Business Forum

At the Andhra Pradesh–UK Business Forum Roadshow in London, IT & Education Minister Nara Lokesh announced that Visakhapatnam will soon host one of India’s largest data centers, with a planned capacity of 1 gigawatt. Lokesh highlighted how Andhra Pradesh is building its reputation as a global digital and investment hub. He also pitched the state’s cluster-based development strategy, emphasizing decentralized growth across sectors such as automotive (Kia), drones, renewables, semiconductors, aquaculture, steel, pharma, and medical devices. Stressing the importance of integrated ecosystems and skill-driven infrastructure, Lokesh positioned Andhra Pradesh as ready to compete with the world’s best. The event comes ahead of the CII Partnership Summit 2025, scheduled in Visakhapatnam this November.
