After concluding a landmark visit to Russia, PM Modi arrived in Austria, where he was warmly welcomed at the airport by Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg. This visit marks another historic milestone in India’s diplomatic endeavors and coincides with the 75th anniversary of India-Austria diplomatic relations. Upon arrival, PM Modi was greeted by a choir singing 'Vande Mataram.' He engaged with the Indian community in Austria, who gathered outside his hotel to take selfies with the Prime Minister. PM Modi also shared a selfie with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, and they walked the streets, taking selfies with people. This visit is notable as it is the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Austria in over 40 years, the last being Indira Gandhi in 1983. During his stay, PM Modi will meet Austrian leaders, including President Alexander Van der Bellen, and will engage with Austrian CEOs and an Indian business delegation.
