Union Minister Pralhad Joshi arrived at Parliament in a hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai, showcasing India’s push toward green mobility. Speaking about the initiative, he highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the National Green Hydrogen Mission is driving the country’s clean energy transition. He noted that an MoU has been signed between Toyota Kirloskar and the National Institute of Solar Energy to advance hydrogen-based technologies. The Toyota Mirai — meaning “Future” — is a zero-emission, noise-free vehicle that runs entirely on hydrogen and emits only water vapour.
