A bitter inheritance war has erupted after the sudden death of businessman Sunjay Kapur, chairman of Sona Comstar, whose net worth exceeded ₹30,000 crore. Sunjay passed away on June 12 after collapsing during a polo match in England. While initial reports speculated a freak accident involving a bee sting, his family later confirmed it was a heart attack. Now, his will has triggered a fierce legal and emotional battle within one of Delhi’s most prominent families. Sunjay’s will allegedly leaves everything to his wife Priya Sachdev Kapur, excluding his children from his marriage with actor Karisma Kapoor, as well as his mother Rani Kapur and siblings. Rani Kapur has alleged foul play and accused Priya of excluding her from key company and family financial decisions. Meanwhile, Karisma’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, have challenged the will in court — calling it forged and demanding a 1/5th share of the inheritance. Priya Sachdev Kapur has stood firm, calling the will valid, signed, and known to all family members. As legal battles unfold, the Kapur family feud has become a very public war — of grief, greed, and legacy.
