AWS Bets Big On India’s AI-Led Financial Future

Aastha Chopra, Correspondent at BTTV, spoke to Kiran Jagannath, Head of FSI and Conglomerates at AWS India and South Asia, after the AWS Summit about how technology is changing banking and payments in India. During the conversation, he explained how banks and fintech companies are using cloud technology to handle the growing number of digital payments and improve customer experience. He also mentioned that AI is helping make services faster and simpler for users, especially in smaller cities where people prefer speaking in their own language. Giving the example of loan approvals, he said the process could become much quicker in the future with the help of AI. He added that India is moving towards a phase where digital banking, payments and shopping experiences will become smoother and more seamless for customers.
