Indian companies need to look beyond traditional markets as global opportunities expand, says Manpreet Singh, President, Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB). Speaking with Business Today's, group Editor, Siddharth Zarabi at the India Today BRICS Roundtable, Singh highlighted the opportunities for Indian businesses in markets that may appear challenging but offer significant growth potential. He said China should not only be viewed as a competitor or supplier, but also as a massive consumer market for Indian products. Singh also argued that Indian companies are well equipped to navigate complex international markets, given their resilience and experience in dealing with challenges at home. From local partnerships and cultural differences to geopolitical risks, Indian firms must be prepared to operate in difficult environments while staying compliant with local laws and regulations.
