With the Iran war showing little signs of abating after two and a half months of hostilities and blockades, India Today TV’s Rajdeep Sardesai spoke to renowned energy expert Anas Alhajji. The conversation highlighted how India faces a difficult situation ahead with crude oil being the least of its problems. Alhajji pointed out that India is challenged on several fronts – including the availability of fertilisers, LPG and even helium. On tackling the oil crisis, Alhajji says, "So what India needs, one of the main lessons of this experience is that India needs to triple its strategic petroleum reserves. That's one lesson; triple your strategic oil reserve. The other is diversity." He further called the oil crisis "worst crisis the world is experiencing since World War II".
