The investigation into the Flydubai cockpit attack is revealing new details about the alleged plot by Omani co-pilot Hammam Al-Hammami. Media reports citing the probe say Hammami allegedly told investigators that he wanted revenge for Israel’s actions in Gaza and wanted to die a martyr. Investigators are examining his phone, contacts, travel history and background to determine whether he acted alone. Reports also say he allegedly intended to crash the aircraft into Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Meanwhile, the Iran angle remains disputed. Donald Trump has said he personally believes Iran was behind the incident, but Vice President JD Vance says he has not seen anything conclusive linking Tehran to the attack and has deferred to intelligence officials. Earlier reporting also said there was no current evidence of Iranian involvement, while Israeli officials had been assessing whether the co-pilot acted alone.
