At the India Today Roundtable Karnataka, Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar spoke about his governance approach, Congress unity and Centre-state relations. Responding to questions from Rajdeep Sardesai, India Today Group, Shivakumar said he does not believe in factional politics and described the Congress as having “one camp” — the Congress camp. He said that as Chief Minister, he has a responsibility to represent every section of Karnataka, regardless of political affiliation. Shivakumar also spoke about Karnataka’s contribution to India’s economy and raised concerns over what he described as financial discrimination against southern states. He emphasised cooperative federalism and equal governance for all citizens.
