
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the state’s peak electricity demand has increased from nearly 15,000–16,000 MW before 2017 to around 35,000 MW, reflecting rapid economic and industrial growth. He said Uttar Pradesh introduced more than 34 sectoral policies to create a transparent and investor-friendly ecosystem. According to the Chief Minister, the state has received investment proposals worth Rs 50 lakh crore, of which projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore have already been grounded. Another Rs 7.5 lakh crore is ready for groundbreaking. He added that industrial expansion has helped provide employment to 65 lakh youth within Uttar Pradesh.
