Union Budget 2015: Service tax to be raised from 12.36 per cent to 14 per cent

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday proposed increasing the service tax rate from the current 12.36 per cent to 14 per cent.

Jaitley, in his maiden full-year Budget for the 2015-16 financial year, also said that the education cess would be raised.
