Earlier in the year, it had hired three tech executives from Amazon,  Google and Microsoft for different roles in the company.  However, Flipkart is not the only e-tailer which is poaching talent from top companies - its rival Snapdeal has also been following the same strategy.

Snapdeal had appointed former TaxiForSure Chief Technology Officer Amitava Ghosh as Vice President of Engineering in August.  The company has also roped in several executives from Airtel, Adobe, Aircel and P&G.
