₹132 Crore
Mirzapur: The Movie has turned its OTT-to-theatre gamble into a major box-office story, collecting ₹132.35 crore worldwide by Sunday. The film’s opening weekend alone brought in ₹112.35 crore gross, putting the Prime Video spin-off firmly in the spotlight.

Sunday Surge
The film saved its biggest punch for Sunday, earning ₹36 crore from 11,344 shows. That marked a 12.5% jump from Saturday’s ₹32 crore, showing that word of mouth and fan loyalty are pushing the Mirzapur universe well beyond its streaming audience.

Starless Shock
There is no conventional Bollywood superstar leading the charge, yet Mirzapur: The Movie opened at around ₹25 crore domestically. It outperformed Awarapan 2 and Welcome to the Jungle, challenging the assumption that theatrical blockbusters need a major star at the centre.

OTT Gamble
What was expected by some to be simply an extension of an OTT series has become a theatrical success story. The film has converted the cult following of Prime Video India’s Mirzapur into cinema audiences, with most of its domestic earnings coming from the Hindi version.

Friday Threat
The box-office run now faces a fresh test as Haiwaan, starring Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar, arrives in theatres on September 11. Mirzapur: The Movie therefore has only a few days to maximise its momentum before a new big-screen challenger enters the race.
