Bag freedom
Passengers at New Delhi (NDLS) and Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM) can now leave heavy luggage behind instead of dragging it around during long waits. Northern Railway has introduced OTP based digital lockers that passengers can operate themselves using their mobile phones.

Four stations
The facility covers four major Delhi stations: New Delhi (NDLS), Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM), Delhi Junction (DLI) and Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT). Lockers are already operational at New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin, while the other two locations are expected to open shortly.

OTP key
There is no physical key to carry or risk losing. Passengers enter their mobile number, verify an OTP, choose the locker size and storage duration, pay digitally and deposit their luggage. To retrieve it, they verify the registered number again and select the release option. (Representative pic)

Always open
The digital lockers at New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Payments can be made through Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe and other digital modes, making the service particularly useful for tourists and passengers facing long gaps between trains.
