New Kanpur-Delhi train approved: 8 stops, overnight travel and early-morning arrival

Kanpur and Delhi are getting a new daily rail connection, with Train 14153 leaving Kanpur at 8:40 pm and reaching Anand Vihar at 4:50 am, turning an overnight journey into a more convenient option.

Eight Stops

The new Mail service will halt at eight stations between Kanpur and Delhi, including Phaphund, Etawah, Tundla, Hathras, Aligarh, Khurja, Dadri and Ghaziabad, opening another route for passengers across the corridor.

Morning Arrival

The timing could appeal to passengers who want to travel overnight and reach Delhi early. The return train will leave Anand Vihar at 11:25 pm and arrive in Kanpur at 7:25 am after an eight-hour journey.

428 Km Run

The daily service will cover 428 km in both directions, with the Kanpur-Anand Vihar journey taking 8 hours 10 minutes and the return taking eight hours, adding another option on an important rail corridor.

Vadodara Upgrade

Alongside the new train, the Railway Ministry has approved a ₹166.5-crore four-lane road over bridge at Alkapuri in Vadodara. The project addresses restrictions and waterlogging affecting the existing road under bridge.
