Mahindra, Skoda and Volvo all launch in August 2026 — here’s the complete car launch calendar

A new month brings a fresh batch of car launches and reveals. August 2026 is shaping up to be one of the busier months, with Mahindra's Independence Day event, a long-overdue Skoda sedan update and Volvo's new flagship EV all lined up for buyers.

The Vision S is expected to be the highlight of Mahindra's Independence Day event, likely shown in its production-ready form. Built on Mahindra's NU_IQ monocoque platform, the boxy SUV supports front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and both petrol and electric versions — and has already been spotted testing several times.

The updated Scorpio N is fully ready for launch — units have already started arriving at dealerships. This is a model year update, not a full facelift. Key changes include a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, bigger touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster, 65W Type-C charging ports, redesigned centre console and new alloy wheels. Powertrains remain unchanged.

More than four years since launch, the Slavia is finally getting an update. Expect a new illuminated grille, revised bumpers, new wheels, rear seat massage function, a bigger touchscreen, redesigned LED tail-lights, updated headlamp internals and new upholstery — with the same 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines continuing unchanged.

The EX90 arrives this month as Volvo's flagship in India — its third EV after the XC40 and EX30. Globally, it comes with a 106 kWh battery, dual motors, AWD, 680 bhp and 780 Nm, with a claimed 608 km range. A smaller 92 kWh single-motor RWD version with 333 bhp and 565 km range is also available. Indian specs are yet to be confirmed.
