MrBeast just got married on a private island — and the wedding was nothing like his videos

Jimmy Donaldson — better known as MrBeast — married his longtime girlfriend Thea Booysen in an intimate ceremony at Richard Branson's private Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, surrounded by around 70 close family and friends.

Unlike the extravagant challenges and giveaways that made him famous, MrBeast chose to keep his wedding completely private — no livestreams, no social media spectacle. The couple celebrated with snorkelling, kitesurfing, island dinners, live music and board games.

Thea wore a custom bridal gown by Nicole + Felicia Couture. MrBeast wore a classic Ralph Lauren tuxedo. The couple shared their first dance to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' hit song Die With a Smile — a personal and unexpected choice for the internet's biggest personality.

The couple first met in South Africa in 2022 when Jimmy was travelling. They connected over a shared love of learning and gaming. MrBeast proposed on Christmas Day in 2024 with both families present for the surprise. Thea described the wedding celebration as "heaven."

He dropped out of college to focus on YouTube — a decision that eventually made him one of the world's youngest self-made billionaires.
