Toyota Etios gives competitors a hard time

TOYOTA ETIOS
Etios has been a hot topic among prospective buyers ever since its launch. Toyota has kept its price competitive keeping in mind the presence of other car in the sedan segment. The company claims Etios to be among the most spacious cars. Its price makes it stand out in this segment. Available in 4 variants, the prices range between Rs 4.96 and 6.86 lakhs.

INDIGO CS
The Indigo e-CS is among the most fuel efficient sedans in the country. It has often been described as a longer version of Tata Indica. The model has all-new front grille, ORVM with blinkers, trendy tail-light cluster and new headlamps. The model is available in two variants in two fuel types each - LS and LX in diesel variants, and GLS and GLX in petrol.

MARUTI SUZUKI SWIFT DZIRE
Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire is based on the popular Suzuki Swift platform. The Swift DZire replaces Maruti Suzuki's popular entry level sedan, Maruti Suzuki Esteem, production of which was discontinued late 2007. Maruti introduced Swift DZire only in the Indian market. The car sports a classy dashboard, integrated audio system with remote control and powerful speakers promises perfect music with the perfect drive. With the help of tilt steering, you can drive easily after adjusting the steering wheel to your individual posture. The Zxi and Zdi variants of Dzire have steering mounted audio controls as well.

FIAT LINEA
This car marked the comeback of Fiat in the Indian market. Linea boasts of Maserati-like two-part grille and twin-pod lights, which enliven things up at the front, and flow into the wheel arches, waistline and windscreen. The only external clue that distinguishes the diesel from the petrol variant lies on the grille: a discreet 'Multijet' badge sits to the left of the Fiat badge. The interiors of Linea have Italian styling influences - beige and black interiors with the silver centre console are simple and most of the controls are user-friendly.

MAHINDRA LOGAN
The Logan is suitable for those looking out for a safe and comfortable option. It is one of the most affordable and reliable cars in the sedan segment. The high sitting car seats, easy entry and exit, along with a fuel efficent engine makes it one of the most sought-after cars. It boasts of a boot space of nearly 510 litres. Available in four variants, the prices range between Rs 4.61 lakh and Rs 4.89 lakh.

INDIGO MANZA
What makes this car stand out from others is its spacious design, as it boasts of rear legroom that remain its forte. It is designed according to the needs of the driver and color changing tachometer is one of the features that supports this fact. This tachometer comes with a needle that turns red at the time when the car revs to the red line.

HYUNDAI VERNA
Hyundai Motor's Verna comes in both diesel and petrol options at an introductory price between Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 10.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The company offers the car in 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre engine variants with both petrol and diesel options. The company had first introduced the Verna brand in India in 2006.

TOYOTA LIVA
Etios Liva, Toyota's new small car, will hit the Indian roads on June 27, with the launch scheduled in New Delhi.  Liva will be Toyota's foray into the highly popular premium hatchback segment. It is estimated to be priced between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 6 lakh. It is essentially a hatchback version of the sedan and will be seen with a smaller 1.2-litre petrol engine and later with a 1.4-litre diesel engine.
