PORTFOLIO MANAGERS
Mr. Parekh has over 25 years’ experience in equities and portfolio management. He heads the Equity PMS business at JM Financial Services (JMFS). Before joining JMFS, Mr. Parekh was part of the Templeton Emerging Markets Group headed by Dr. J. Mark Mobius. He was responsible for co-managing the portfolio of Templeton India Growth Fund (TIGF) and a private institutional portfolio-OMERS, a Canadian pension fund based out of Mumbai, India. He has gained varied experience across a number of emerging markets, principally India and Israel, during his tenure within Templeton Group. He has also worked with several other large investment organizations both FII’s and DII’s as a research analyst. Mr. Parekh is a qualified Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), UK and holds a degree in MBA, Finance from the University of Stirling, UK.
Mr. Kanani has more than 25 year’s experiences in portfolio management and research. He is a Director in the PMS division at JM Financial (JMFL) and is responsible for managing IRP III series portfolios. Prior to managing portfolios independently, he has tracked various sectors as buy side analyst including pharmaceuticals, IT services, oil and gas, real estate and capital goods & infra sectors. His wide expertise in understanding monetary and fiscal policies in the context of economic cycle and understanding thrust of Government policies is valuable in devising top down macro calls for the portfolios. Before joining JMFS, Amish had work with CRISIL Research and Kotak AMC focusing on credit and industry research. Mr. Kanani is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Grad CWA.
