After months of speculation, Apple has finally sent out the invitations for a press
conference on September 10 to be held at the company's Cupertino headquarters in California, USA.
The technology giant is expected to announce its next flagship smartphone, as well as a cheaper device at the event, which will be held around 1.30pm IST.
Reports suggest the new iPhone 5S will look similar to the iPhone 5, with upgraded specs like a faster processor, an upgraded camera with a dual-LED flash and is likely to have a fingerprint scanner. Plus, there could be two new colours - champagne gold and a new lighter gray color.
The affordable iPhone 5C is speculated to have a plastic case and is expected to be available in five different colours. It is likely to be priced around $400.
Both the iPhones will operate on iOS 7 announced earlier at the WWDC 2013. Apple is also expected to announce the launch of the next version of the iPad and the timing for the iOS 7 release.
