Dish TV has come up with a unique offering for the masses. Launched in 42 cities, the Dish+ is India's first SD Recorder aimed at non-HD TVs. Priced competitively at Rs 1,690, this is a standard set-top box with unlimited recording facility.
The Dish+ has a USB port that can be used for connecting a pen drive or a hard disk for recording. The content stored in encrypted and cannot be played on any other device. The recording is further liked to features such as playing back programs, pausing or rewinding live TV, different play-back positions, event based recording (EBR) and time-based recording (TBR).
As the inaugural offer, Dish TV is also giving a 4 GB pen drive with the set-top box. The company is also working on the exchange offer for its existing customers.

Dish TV India, says "Dish+ is a comeback of recorders in the living room and is a clear differentiator vis--vis other alternatives including digital cable. Its highly competitive launch price will position it as a preferred option amongst all DTH buyers."
