Motorola launches Moto Z modular phone in India

The Moto Z is 5.2 mm thin and has been crafted from military aircraft grade aluminium and stainless steel. It  features a 5.5-mm Quad HD AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon  820 processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM.

Announced in June this year, Lenovo-owned Motorola has announced the launch of its much awaited modular phone in India - the Moto Z. This smartphone allows users to swap the external module (also known as Moto Mods) and is priced at Rs 39,999.

The Moto Z is 5.2 mm thin and has been crafted from military aircraft grade aluminium and stainless steel. It  features a 5.5-mm Quad HD AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon  820 processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM.

It boasts a 13-MP, f1.8 camera with optical image stabilisation and laser autofocus and a 5-MP front facing camera with wide angle lens.

It comes with a 2,600-mAh battery with Turbo Power mode that can give up to seven hours of power in just 15 minutes.

It comes with water repellant coating that can protect the Moto Z from rain, splashes or spills.  

It is available in 64 GB of internal storage option and has support for up to 2 TB expandable storage. The highlight of the Moto Z is the mods and the company has launched JBL SoundBoost speaker for Rs 6,999, Hasselblad True Zoom Camera for Rs 19,999, Instashare Projector for Rs 19,999 and  Incipio offGRID Power Pack for Rs 5,999.

Motorola is offering a special bundled price for the mods when purchased along with the Moto Z smartphone that will go on sale on 11:59 pm, October 17 on Amazon and Flipkart.

Motorola has also launched Moto Z Play for Rs 24,999. It features a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by a 2.0-GHz Octa-core processor and 3 GB of RAM. It features a 16-MP laser autofocus camera, and a 3,500-mAh battery with TurboPower mode.
