Photo: Business TodayAfter launching the Redmi Note 3 in March this year, Xiaomi is now looking introducing an even affordable variant, Note 3s. The Chinese smartphone company plans to launch this smartphone through a live stream on August 3.
Launched in China recently, the Redmi Note 3s will feature 5inch full HD display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core chipset.
The device will be available in two variants - 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB onboard storage. The Redmi Note 3s will be equipped with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera. With a hybrid SIM slot, the device packs in over 4000 mAh battery, depending up on the variant. Just like the Redmi Note 3, there is a fingerprint scanner at the rear as well.
There is no confirmation about the pricing yet but is expected to be priced under Rs 9,000. The two variants of Redmi Note 3 - 2GB RAM with 16GB onboard storage is retailing for Rs 9,999 and the 3GB RAM with 32GB onboard storage for Rs 11,999. These two variants have been doing well in the market, pushing competitors to upgrade and come with new devices. Recently, Lenovo too announced the Vibe K5 Note and updated the specifications on its already selling Vibe K5 Plus.
