In light of the forthcoming festive season and the launch of two new iPhones, Apple has decided to slash the prices of most iPhones available in the Indian market.
The iPhone 6s Plus 128GB got a massive price-cut of Rs 22,000 and is now selling at Rs 70,000. The iPhone 6s 128GB which was available at Rs 82,000 has been brought down to Rs 60,000.
Other Apple devices including the iPhone SE that was released this year have also recieved a price-cut. The compact iPhone SE 64GB will be available at Rs 44,000.
The base variants have also recieved a substatial discount in comparison to the original prices. The iPhone 6s 16GB which was released at Rs 62,000, will now be available at Rs 42,000.
During the launch event of iPhone 7, the company clearly stated that it will be doing away with the 16GB variant of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. It claimed that these devices will be updated with minimum storage of 32GB. Since Indian retailers are still clearing the older stock, the current phones haven't been updated as per Apple's promise.
