Apple to relaunch iPhone 4 at Rs 15,000 in India

US technology firm Apple plans to relaunch the 8GB version of iPhone 4 in India- this time at a decreased price.

According to reports on leading news websites, Apple will relaunch its basic iPhone 4 at around Rs 15,000 through buyback and EMI schemes in order to compete with players like Samsung, Micromax and others. The original retail price for iPhone 4 in India is around Rs 26,500.

The new price is likely to push sales of iPhone 4, which have been hit by products of its rivals  Samsung  and Micromax in the middle segment of smartphones.

The iPhone4 was launched in 2011 in India, almost an year after it was launched in the US.

Since then, other versions of iPhones such as 4S, 5, 5c and 5s have come up.
