Facebook's new feature will let users turn off the autodownload feature on the app. The user will have to manually download thecontent when on cellular data. However, if the connection switches to WiFi, theapp will start auto-downloading content again.
To turn onthis new feature on Messenger, the user will have to access the settingmanually and toggle the 'Data Saver' option to 'off'. This feature will be ofgreat help in developing markets like India where Facebook is trying to expandits reach.

The updatehas only been rolled out to Android users as of now and is still in the testingphase. iOS users might soon receive this update after it has successfully beentested on Android.
Reportedly,Facebook is also testing a feature that will suggest topics in a chatbox.Though there is no official confirmation regarding this new feature, certainpeople around the globe have received an update with this new feature. Thefeature looks into your friends recent activity on Facebook and accordingly suggeststopics within your chat.
