iPad Air, Mini to sell from Dec 7 in India

Apple's next generation iPad  Air and iPad Mini will start retailing in India from December 7. Ingram Micro, one of the authorised distributor partners of Apple in India, has confirmed the launch date of the two products in the country.  

The iPad Air features a 9.7 inch retina display with 1536 x 2048p. The tablet runs on Apple's A7 chipset and has got 1GB of RAM, 5 MP autofocus rear camera and 1.2MP front facing camera for FaceTime.

With 10-hour battery backup, the iPad Air will be available in space grey and silver colour. It is noticably ligher at 465 grams than the iPad 4th generation that weighed 652 grams.

On the other hand, the iPad Mini with retina display is a 7.9 inch tablet with A7 chipset, running on the latest version of the software, iOS 7. It features a 5MP rear camera and 1.2MP front facing camera.   

The 16GB Wi-Fi variant of the iPad Air will be available for Rs 35,900 while the iPad Mini with retina display is priced at Rs 28,900.
A few authorized stores confirmed to Business Today that all the variants including storage capacities will be available from December 7.
