BMW Mini drives into India

The carmaker plans to open four to five more dealerships in India by the end of the year. The showroom  in Delhi is likely to come up next moth, followed by more outlets in Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Bangalore later this year.

German luxury carmaker BMW on Thursday opened the first dedicated dealership of its iconic Mini Cooper cars inthe country.

The carmaker plans toopen four to five more dealerships in India by the end of the year. The showroom in Delhiis likely to come up next moth, followed by more outlets in Hyderabad,Chandigarh and Bangalore later this year.

Mini will be availablein five variants and it is priced between Rs 25 lakh to Rs 35.9 lakh(ex-showroom). It has already attracted over 100 bookings so far and deliverywill start

Mini has so far seen 100 bookings and the delivery of thecars to customers would begin from May, an executive said.
