Somya Kanti Ghosh pointed to UPI-led volatility in CASA deposits and stressed protecting over 200 crore deposit accounts while ensuring fair returns. Offering a counterview, Ashima Goyal noted banks’ strong profitability and urged balanced tax reforms across asset classes.
