Moments after Sheikh Hasina fled Bangladesh, a massive crowd of protesters stormed her official residence, scaling the gates of "Ganabhaban" while shouting slogans and pumping their fists in victory. Inside, they looted the drawing rooms and other areas of the heavily guarded residence, carrying away items like televisions, a high-end Dior suitcase, fish, rabbits, ducks, chairs, tables, fans, books, a toy car, pillows, clothes, and even lingerie. Some men draped themselves in looted sarees and flaunted blouses, while others attempted to steal money and work out on Hasina's elliptical machine. An unidentified protester declared the end of Hasina’s 16-year autocracy, standing proudly on the premises. The chaos extended to the food supplies, with protesters raiding the kitchen for chickens, fish, sweet boxes, and biryani. Outside, they waved Bangladeshi flags atop military armored vehicles. Similar scenes unfolded in the Bangladesh parliament, where protesters climbed tables, took selfies, and sat in MPs' chairs. The house of the Chief Justice was also looted, and a pro-government TV station was set on fire. The police system in Bangladesh has completely collapsed amidst the turmoil.
