
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the third production line of the LCA Mk1A Tejas and the second production line of the HTT-40 trainer aircraft at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Nashik, Maharashtra. Calling it a proud moment for India’s defence sector, Singh said that HAL stands as a symbol of self-reliance and strength in indigenous defence manufacturing. He highlighted Nashik’s historic and spiritual significance, saying the city reflects faith, devotion, self-reliance, and capability. The Defence Minister lauded HAL’s six-decade-long contribution to strengthening India’s defence ecosystem and said that the Tejas and HTT-40 aircraft flights symbolise the country’s growing capability and confidence in the defence domain.
