BRICS Summit 2026 LIVE | PM Modi Announces Integrated Early Warning System For Global Crises

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the need for greater resilience within BRICS amid rising global tensions, pandemics, climate disasters and supply-chain disruptions. He said no crisis remains confined to one region in today’s interconnected world. Modi announced that BRICS members have reached consensus on an Integrated Early Warning System to strengthen preparedness and response to infectious diseases. He also highlighted the formulation of Early Warning Data Integration Guidelines for disaster management, aimed at enabling timely identification of risks, better preparedness and faster collective action.
