Delhi NEET Protests Turn Violent As Cops Attacked, Over 118 Personnel Reportedly Injured

Fresh violence erupted in Delhi during the ongoing NEET protests, with clashes reported between alleged protesters and security personnel at multiple locations. The most intense confrontation took place on Tolstoy Marg near Connaught Place, where Delhi Police alleged that protesters pelted stones, hurled bottles and attacked Rapid Action Force personnel. At Jantar Mantar, a Delhi Police inspector was allegedly surrounded and assaulted while on duty. Police said more than 118 personnel from Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces were injured during the protests. An investigation is underway, with authorities examining CCTV footage and other evidence to identify those responsible for the violence.
