A day after Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif raised concerns over water at the SCO Summit, torrential rain triggered massive flooding across Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Several areas were submerged under four to five feet of water, cars were swept away, homes inundated and residents left counting their losses. The Nullah Lai swelled dangerously as heavy rainfall overwhelmed Rawalpindi's drainage system. Schools and colleges were shut, while authorities battled the worsening situation. At least three people have reportedly died as Pakistan's power centre struggles with nature's fury.
