Reliance Industries Succession Plan: How Mukesh Ambani Is Passing The Baton To His Children

At Reliance Industries’ 49th AGM, Mukesh Ambani laid out a major message on the company’s future and succession roadmap. He said Reliance is being built “for the ages” through a 5-S vision for institutional continuity. The first S, Succession, puts the spotlight on Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani and Anant Ambani, who now lead Reliance’s consumer, technology and energy businesses respectively. Ambani described them as “three bodies, one soul,” united by Reliance’s larger mission. He also said Reliance has groomed 500 young leaders across businesses and that the generational transfer of day-to-day management is almost complete. His message was clear: Reliance’s future is in safe hands, and the next generation is ready to take it higher.
