A massive alleged ₹600-crore medical procurement scam has come under investigation in Delhi after the Vigilance Anti-Corruption Branch registered an FIR over alleged irregularities in healthcare purchases. The complaint alleges manipulated tenders, inflated prices and favoritism in the procurement of medical equipment and supplies under the Directorate General of Health Services' Central Procurement Agency. Former DGHS chief Dr. Vatsala Aggarwal and former CPA head Dr. Vijay Kumar Ranga have been arrested, while several officials have been suspended. As the probe gathers pace, the AAP and BJP have traded sharp accusations. The investigation is ongoing, and the allegations remain subject to the legal process.
