Some handsets are placed in the market even before the official announcement. This stands true for the two of the latest cell phones in the market - Nokia X2-01 and Motorola Defy.
The Nokia X2-01 looks like a downscaled version of the Nokia C3 as it is an affordable QWERTY keypad device with networking features such as Google Talk and Yahoo! Messenger. Operating on Symbian Series 40, the phone lacks Wi-Fi connectivity. Priced for Rs 4,500, the handset is easily available at Nokia Priority across the city.
The Motorola Defy runs on Android v2.1. With a 3.7 inch gorilla glass display, it comes with an internal storage of 2GB and 512 MB RAM. With a 5MP camera and 800 MHz processor, this one is making a silent entry with a price tag close to Rs 19,000.
