Gold rises 0.23 per cent in futures trade

Gold traded 0.23 per cent higher at Rs 27,867 per 10 gm in futures trade largely in tandem with a firming trend in the Asian region.

Gold rises 0.23 per cent in futures trade
In range-bound movement, gold traded 0.23 per cent higher at Rs 27,867 per 10 gm in futures trade on Wednesday largely in tandem with a firming trend in the Asian region.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the April month contract of gold rose by Rs 63, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 27,867 per 10 grams in business turnover of 724 lots.

The June contract moved up by Rs 52, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 28,293 per 10 grams in 50 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in gold prices at futures trade to a firming trend in the Asian region.

Meanwhile, gold advanced 0.13 per cent to 1,652.90 dollar an ounce in Singapore.
