Facebook, Candy Crush downloaded most on Google Play in 2014

According to Google's tabulation of digital favorites, Frozen, Facebook and Candy Crush Saga were the most downloaded items of this year among the movies, social media and games category in the Play Store.

Among other categories, Pandora topped the list of music downloads while NFL Mobile ruled the sports selection, reported PCWorld.

The fastest growing app category was Health and Fitness which is a sign of increasing popularity of devices that are wearable.

The Walking Dead was the most downloaded TV show on Google's Play Store while "50 More Awesome Facts (About Everything)" was the most popular Newsstand article.
