India's six indigenous defence weapons

Akash is a medium-range mobile surface-to-air missile defense system developed by the DRDO, Bharat Dynamics BDL for Missile Systems. The missile system can target aircraft up to 30 km away, at altitudes up to 18,000 m.

The Arjun is a third generation main battle tank developed by India's Defence Research and Development Organisation. The Arjun features a 120 mm main rifled gun with indigenously developed armour-piercing fin-stabilized discarding-sabot ammunition, one PKT 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun, and a NSVT 12.7 mm machine gun.

The HAL Dhruv is a utility helicopter developed and manufactured by India's Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. The helicopter first flew in 1992; however, its development was prolonged due to multiple factors including the Indian Army's requirement for design changes, budget restrictions, and sanctions placed on India following the 1998 Pokhran-II nuclear tests.

The HAL Tejas is an Indian single-seat, single-jet engine, multi-role light fighter designed by the Aeronautical Development Agency and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for the Indian Air Force and Navy. Tejas has a pure double delta wing configuration, with no tailplanes or canard, and a single dorsal fin.

Pinaka is a multiple rocket launcher produced in India and developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation for the Indian Army. The system has a maximum range of 40 km for Mark-I and 65 km for Mark-II, and can fire a salvo of 12 HE rockets in 44 seconds.

Nag is a third generation "fire-and-forget" anti-tank missile developed in India. It is one of five missile systems developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program.
