A meeting of leaders from "all Opposition parties in Parliament" has been convened at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence at 12:30 pm today, after which it is expected that a name will be officially announced. According to sources, top leaders of the INDIA bloc are consulting on several potential candidates, including former ISRO scientist Mylswamy Annadurai, who supervised the Chandrayaan-1 project.
The Opposition aims to frame the electoral battle as one focused on protecting "Democracy and the Constitution."
