Sachin Tendulkar slams British Airways on twitter over flight issue

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has blasted British Airways for its 'don't care attitude' and tweeted that his 'family members' waitlisted tickets were not confirmed despite seats being available'.

Tendulkar tweeted about the incident with the hashtag #NeveronBA.

In response, the airline asked for Sachin's full name in the tweet, only to be trolled by his followers on the networking site.

The post was deleted subsequently amid a massive backlash but Tendulkar's followers had already retweeted about the incident.

Currently, the player is leading his team Sachin Blasters in the United States in the All-Star series against Shane Warne's Warriors.

Blasters have lost the first two T-20 games and the third match will be played in Los Angeles on Sunday.

This is not the first instance of people or companies of failing to recognise Tendulkar and getting slammed on social media by his fans. Tennis Player Maria Sharapova last year faced wrath of Sachin's fans on social media.

On June 28, 2014 during a Wimbeldon match, tennis champion Maria Sharapova was asked about the people in the royal box who had come to see her match. She recognised footballer David Beckham but denied knowing the Indian cricketer who has been a regular visitor at the Wimbeldons.

The God of Cricket later said her comment was not disrespectful. Probably she did not follow cricket.
