Blackout surprise
Honda has launched the CB350C Black Edition in India ahead of Diwali, adding a darker twist to its retro motorcycle lineup. The Japanese two-wheeler giant is positioning the new edition against Royal Enfield's popular Classic 350. But the biggest surprise is that this isn't an entirely new motorcycle!

Colour controversy
It's black, but not quite the black buyers might expect! Honda's CB350C Black Edition gets a darker colour scheme than the existing CB350C, along with blacked-out elements. However, the company has not disclosed much official information about the new colour option, leaving some details unanswered.

Price puzzle
At Rs 2.32 lakh, ex-showroom, Honda's CB350C Black Edition enters a fiercely contested segment. The CB350C was already available in Pearl Ingenious Black Colour DLS and DLS Pro variants. So what exactly are buyers getting for the money, and is the darker appearance enough to justify choosing the new edition?

Engine unchanged
Don't expect a performance boost beneath that blacked-out styling! Honda has retained the familiar 348.36cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, producing 21 PS and 29.5 Nm of torque. The motorcycle also continues with its five-speed gearbox, making its refreshed appearance the main attraction.

Classic challenger
Honda is taking another shot at Royal Enfield's Classic 350 with a motorcycle that combines retro styling and familiar hardware. The CB350C Black Edition retains a slipper clutch, rounded fenders and a slim pea-shooter exhaust. Blacked-out styling adds visual drama, but can it help Honda stand out in India's competitive 350cc segment?
